TERMS OF USE
Terms for using CrowdRoute
Effective and last updated August 19, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to CrowdRoute, provided by The CrowdSafe Group, LLC (“CrowdSafe,” “we,” “us”). By signing in, subscribing or using CrowdRoute, you agree to these Terms. If you use CrowdRoute for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that organization.
1. Professional decision-support tool
CrowdRoute supports route-network planning, scenario analysis, operational controls and evidence-led reporting. It does not certify safety, replace competent professional judgment, establish legal or regulatory compliance, or substitute for controlled surveys, venue plans, site inspection, authority review, event-day monitoring or emergency planning. You remain responsible for verifying inputs, geometry, accessibility, capacity assumptions, temporary conditions, conclusions and operational decisions before use.
2. Accounts and authorized use
You must provide accurate account information, safeguard access to your account and device, and notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You may use CrowdRoute only for lawful professional or organizational purposes and within the plan and permissions assigned to your account. You may not bypass access or usage controls; interfere with or probe the service; introduce malicious code; use the service to violate another person’s rights; resell access without written permission; or use automated means to scrape Google Maps content or CrowdRoute.
3. Subscriptions and route allowances
Prices, billing intervals, included route-calculation allowances and renewal terms are shown before purchase. Paid subscriptions are processed by PayPal and renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage cancellation through your PayPal account. Access and route allowances depend on PayPal’s verified subscription status. Editing, modeling and exports may remain available as described for the applicable plan, while Google route and matrix calculations consume the displayed allowance. Taxes, enterprise terms and any additional services may be handled separately where applicable.
4. Your project data
You retain responsibility for project information and materials you enter or import. You represent that you have the rights and lawful basis needed to use that material. The current workspace stores project models and autosaves in your browser; you are responsible for exporting and securely retaining important project files, controlling who receives them, and removing sensitive or unnecessary personal information. Do not treat device-local storage as your only controlled project archive.
5. Google Maps and third-party services
CrowdRoute uses Google Maps Platform and may use other third-party services such as PayPal and Sign in with ChatGPT. Your use of those services is also subject to their applicable terms and policies, including the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms, Google Maps Platform Terms and Google Terms of Service. You must preserve required attribution and comply with restrictions on Google Maps content, including restrictions on scraping, bulk downloading, export and unauthorized caching. Google Places result names and addresses remain transient live-result content and are not written into newly created CrowdRoute project records. CrowdRoute timestamps newly calculated Routes geometry and newly retrieved Places coordinates, removes that licensed content from controlled topology after 30 days, and requires refresh or recalculation before controlled use. Stable Place IDs may be retained as permitted. Third-party services may change, fail or return incomplete or unsuitable results.
6. Maps, walking routes and operational limitations
Google walking routes and place information may omit or mischaracterize sidewalks, crossings, access restrictions, gradients, accessible operation, temporary barriers, security perimeters, closures or event overlays. CrowdRoute’s automatic matching uses Google-provided walking distance within stated guardrails; it does not prove that a route is lawful, accessible, available, sufficiently wide, adequately controlled or safe for the modeled demand. Every route must be checked against current controlled information and field conditions.
7. Intellectual property
CrowdRoute, its software, interface, methods, branding and documentation are owned by CrowdSafe or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Subject to these Terms and an active entitlement, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service. Google and other third-party content remains owned by the applicable provider. These Terms do not transfer ownership of CrowdRoute or third-party content to you.
8. Availability, changes and suspension
We may maintain, secure, modify or discontinue features and may suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, nonpayment, legal compliance, abuse or violation of these Terms. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Where practical, we will seek to avoid unnecessary disruption and preserve the ability to export device-local work.
9. Disclaimers and responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CrowdRoute is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties that cannot reasonably apply to a decision-support service, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, except where they cannot legally be excluded. You are responsible for professional review, operating decisions, site controls, regulatory compliance, backups and the consequences of using or sharing outputs. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms as the service changes. The date above identifies the current version. If a material change requires consent, we will request it through an appropriate channel. Continued use after other changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
